Visual Merchandising
For bakeries, your retail space
needs to be your most productive
and most efficient salesperson, and
how you go about optimizing your
sales space for maximum revenue

visual merchandising.

effective merchandising displays.
At Arandas Bakery in Houston,
the retail business owners know that
customers love it when hot bread
is coming fresh out of the oven.
Arandas Bakery features a creative
merchandising technique that ensures
customers get exactly what they want.
 Bolillos are offered at the bakery
individually in a bulk bin that is
connected to the back oven room
through a chute. When the supply in
the bin runs low, customers ring the
bell, and bakers quickly refill the bin
with a basket full of hot fresh bolillos.
"We hear the bell all day long," general
manager Ricardo Hernandez says.

Though it can be easy to focus
on just creating visually stimulating
displays and forget about the other
four senses, the secret to creating an
engaging and immersive experience
is to create a multi-sensory
experience or what's known in the
industry as sensory branding.

has such a profound yet subtle effect
on how your customers behave in

Smell is considered to be a fast
track to the system in your brain that
controls both a shopper's emotion and
memory, two very prominent factors
behind why we choose one brand
over another. 
TASTE:

This can work magic if you
happen to be in the business of
selling consumables, giving people
the ability to taste and sample before
they buy.
